Guided by the principles of realism, students in this class will transform a chosen image into a painted portrait—with the freedom to explore more expressive styles! You’ll learn techniques for mixing skin tones, capturing facial features, rendering hair, and understanding form. The importance of backgrounds will be highlighted, with provided examples to inspire creative choices.
